Have fun and make a difference with paddle and pick - Team Building Ideas in London
Welcome to our Environmental programme!
We run river plastic clean ups called Paddle and Pick for teams at all of our sites and you can find out more through www.paddleandpick.com or enquire via info@active360.co.uk
Active360 holds environmental ethos closely at heart. We have for years been observing increasing plastic pollution of rivers. Seeing it every day on our doorstep on the banks of the River Thames.
We are concerned about the growing amount of plastic waste in our waterways and the threat it poses to wildlife and to humans through entering the food chain.
Our aim is to increase environmental awareness through sharing our passion for nature and watersports.
When we can we also arrange Paddle and Pick plastic clean ups for individuals to join so you can get out on water and see what’s happening first hand. These mostly happen as part of events like Tidefest (Sept). If you book on one of these you will have an opportunity to spend a few hours clearing up plastic in the company of like-minded people who love nature and are concerned about environmental issues.
Paddle & Pick sessions are popular with many business organisations with environmental concerns.
They are fun sessions with a basic SUP lesson included and all equipment provided.

‘Every day I see plastic spoiling our rivers and canals and I hope by raising awareness through clean ups we can encourage more people to play a part in finding lasting solutions’

Paddle and Pick sessions
Every Paddle & Pick session is different. Durations can vary depending on the time of year and weather conditions. Focus is always the same – pick up as much litter as you can (mainly discarded plastic), experience wasteful consumerism first hand and learn about pollution and threats to marine environments. These are paid sessions as we don’t often get subsidies for our environmental work and we pay coaches, provide equipment and clean after. If sponsored sessions are available they will be advertised and open for bookings.
