The original home of SUP in London

Situated under the arches of a historic bridge (built 1903), this base is our environmental hub located conveniently on the water’s edge and offering unique views of London. You can learn paddleboarding skills and how to use the Thames Tideway safely. We run a comprehensive programme at this base throughout the year. There are changing facilities and showers available.

If you are planning to become a regular user of the Thames, we offer Thames Skills and Knowledge courses to bring your skills and knowledge up to a competent level.

We also offer opportunities to learn more about the river environment on SUP Natural History Tours.

New for 2024 – We recently opened Kew Bridge Fitness Gym. A flexible space for personal training, classes and Paddle Fitness. Check out what’s on or if you are interested in renting the space get in touch.

Post Paddle Pubs and Cafes

Check out our favourite tried and tested local Pubs & Cafes (all tried and tested) for food and drinks after your activity.

Kew is easy to access by public transport, car or along the Thames path on foot or bike. Check transport options and maps below.

Kew Bridge overground station is only one minute walk from the Arches. There is a regular train service from London Waterloo via Clapham Junction. You can check train times and destinations on the National Rail Enquiries website.

There are a number of buses going to and from Kew Bridge and Chiswick High Road. For routes and times please visit the Transport for London website.

There are good quiet riverside routes and bike racks to lock to outside One Over The Ait and The Strand Cafe. There is also space in the arches to park bikes securely during your stay.

There is paid parking at Travelodge Kew Bridge (around £1 per hour) which is around a 10 minute walk along the riverside to our base.

"It was our first time paddleboarding, and our guide put us at ease straight away. We had a lovely early-morning trip along the river up to Isleworth. The equipment was all good quality, and the facilities were great - there was even a shower for one of our party who ended up in the water. Will definitely go again and definitely with Active360!."
