Our Stand Up Paddleboard group sessions are guided trips taken by highly qualified instructors and suitable for both complete beginners and paddlers with experience. On the River Thames we time our trips around the tides so that we can travel further and usually make it to a riverside pub for a halfway pit stop. Either heading towards Old Isleworth/Richmond on the high tide or Barnes/Hammersmith on the low tide. The Thames Tideway is steeped in History and bursting with wildlife. If they love nature then there’s a bit more focus on the history and ecology of the Thames in our Natural History Tours.

On the Grand Union Canal we take it a bit slower (as there is no tide carrying us along) paddling up towards Little Venice – sometimes with a canalside pub stop along the way – no need to step off the paddleboard with service to the water. For more experienced paddlers there is also a rental option starting here where they can paddle independently on a serene section of the Grand Union.

Every session starts with a safety briefing and land based skill drills so beginners can grasp the basics and returning paddlers refresh their skills. We tend to do most of our learning on the water under a watchful eye of an experienced coach aiming to get you going as soon as possible and safe to do so.

We run these guided sessions all year round with more availability in the warmer months. Wetsuits available on request for use on all of our guided trips (included in the cost).
